RMSC converted into COVID-19 facility with 116 beds

The Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC) in Manila and the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay are being prepared as treatment facilities for COVID-19 patients.

Bloomberry Resorts Corp., led by tycoon Enrique Razon Jr., has completed the first phase of converting RMSC into a healthcare facility with 116 beds, two nurses’ stations, and temporary furniture.

Phase 2 will add an additional 108 beds at RMSC once final approval from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases and the Department of Health is received.
