Scattered rains continue in Luzon due to monsoon trough

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect most parts of Luzon on Friday due to a monsoon trough.

PAGASA weather specialist Shelly Ignacio said Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa can expect scattered rains with fair weather elsewhere in Luzon but isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

The previous day, PAGASA warned of widespread rain over the Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Calabarzon, and Manila, cautioning against flooding and landslides.
