Rain or Shine Elasto Painters eliminated in PBA Philippine Cup

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters were eliminated from the PBA Philippine Cup after losing to the TNT Tropang 5G in Game 6, marking their third consecutive conference loss to TNT.

Head coach Yeng Guiao attributed the defeat to his team's inability to close out games and make crucial plays at critical moments of the match, expressing disappointment but maintaining optimism for future success.

Guiao noted that reaching Game 6 is a significant achievement and emphasized the importance of experience gained from playing against strong teams like TNT.

Despite the setback, Guiao viewed the season positively as it allowed young players to gain valuable experience and consistency in reaching the semifinals for four consecutive seasons.

The Painters will now focus on the off-season, hoping to recover with key player Beau Belga expected to return along with young prospects Luis Villegas and Felix Lemetti.

Coach Guiao mentioned plans to participate in exhibition games overseas as part of their preparation for the next season.
