Rain or Shine edges NLEX in OT, 6-2 record

Rain or Shine secured a crucial victory over NLEX in overtime during the 7th game of the 2024 PBA Governors' Cup on Tuesday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium, improving their record to six wins and two losses.

Coach Yeng Guiao praised his team's readiness and willingness to compete, acknowledging that being prepared is crucial when given an opportunity, especially as they navigate the best-of-five quarterfinals next week.

Aaron Fuller was the top performer for Rain or Shine with a double-double of 23 points and 25 rebounds, while Anton Asistio contributed significantly with 25 points.

Adrian Nocum scored seven of Rain or Shine's 13 points in overtime, preserving the team's victory after a strong performance by NLEX's new import DeQuan Jones who had a game-high 49 points and 11 rebounds.

Despite their outstanding performance, NLEX could not secure a win, dropping to a 3-5 record with this loss.
