Rai trough brings scattered rains over Visayas, Mindanao

The trough of Severe Tropical Storm Rai will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region.

PAGASA warns residents in these areas to prepare for possible flooding or landslides during heavy rains.

Light rains are expected in Cagayan Valley due to the northeast monsoon, while Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, and Cordillera Administrative Region will experience isolated light rain.

Strong to gale force winds will affect Northern Luzon, central and southern Luzon, Visayas, and eastern Mindanao, with fishing boats advised not to venture out into the sea.
