VP Duterte skips House hearing, submits letter for OVP budget

Apollo Quiboloy and four of his subordinates will remain at the Philippine National Police (PNP) custodial center in Camp Crame, Quezon City despite a court order for their transfer to the New Quezon City Jail.

The PNP cited concerns that the transfer might lead to 'risk' and bail posting, as noted by PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo.

Vice President Sara Duterte skipped the House of Representatives hearing on the Office of the Vice President's proposed 2025 budget and instead sent a letter to Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co, stating that all necessary documents had already been submitted to the committee.

In her September 10 letter, Duterte said the OVP had provided all required documentation to the House committee on appropriations, which was discussing the proposed budget.

Deliberations on the Office of the Vice President's (OVP) proposed allocations for 2025 have been deferred again by a House of Representatives panel after no one from the office showed up to defend their budget request.
