Quezon City sees surge in dengue and Covid-19 cases

Quezon City recorded 1,280 dengue cases from January to July, marking a 129.80% increase compared to the same period last year.

Seven deaths due to dengue have been reported this year.

The city also saw an increase in active Covid-19 cases, with 1,800 recorded as of Aug. 4, up from 850 a month earlier.

Mayor Joy Belmonte urged residents to get tested for both diseases early due to similar symptoms.
