DOH logs 4,621 new COVID-19 cases; active tally rises

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 4,621 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,803,955.

Active cases increased to 37,805 from 37,344 on Saturday.

The DOH also noted that recoveries climbed to 3,705,343 while the death toll rose by 18 to 60,807.

In the past two weeks, the National Capital Region had the most cases with 15,580, followed by Calabarzon with 10,125 and Central Luzon with 5,109.

The bed occupancy rate in the country was at 29.3%, with 8,412 beds occupied out of a total of 28,744 available beds.
