Mindanao Ave closed until 2028, MMDA deploys for rally

Starting Sunday midnight, a portion of Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City will be closed for construction of the Metro Manila Subway Project until 2028.

The MMDA has placed road barriers and opened diversion roads to maintain current lane numbers while contractors work on the Tandang Sora Station.

On Monday, the Iglesia ni Cristo will hold its 'National Rally for Peace' at Quirino Grandstand in Manila, expecting around one million participants from various provinces.

To manage both the construction closure and the rally, the MMDA will deploy approximately 1,300 personnel starting Sunday evening to assist motorists and ensure traffic flow.

Road closures on Monday include Katigbak Drive, South Drive, Roxas Boulevard, TM Kalaw, Bonifacio Drive, P. Burgos, and Maria Orosa Street for the duration of the rally.
