Palace: No rush for Bayanihan 2

Malacañang believes there is no need to rush the passage of Bayanihan 2 despite the expiration of RA 11469 on June 25.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque stated that the government still has the authority to enforce curfews and prohibit mass gatherings even without the Bayanihan law.

Roque noted that local ordinances can still be enforced, contradicting Senator Franklin Drilon's assertion that violators cannot be arrested after the law expired.
