QC updates guidelines for home quarantine of mild COVID-19 cases

Quezon City has released updated guidelines for home isolation of individuals with suspected, probable, or confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The guidelines cover asymptomatic individuals and those with mild symptoms like sore throat, fever, cough, and colds.

Close contacts of COVID-19 patients who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms will be monitored in home quarantine.

Individuals from vulnerable groups such as the elderly, pregnant women, children, and unvaccinated people, or those with moderate to severe symptoms, will be prioritized for transfer to city-owned hospitals or HOPE Community Care Facilities.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte confirmed that the city council amended an ordinance from July 2021 to allow home isolation again due to the Omicron variant surge.
