QC inspection finds 70 construction sites violating COVID-19 protocols

Quezon City officials conducted a surprise inspection and found that 70 construction sites were violating health and safety protocols for COVID-19.

Seven of these projects had recorded positive cases of the virus.

City building official Dale Perral issued Cease and Desist Orders to stop construction activities at non-compliant sites and imposed administrative fines.

The violations included missing designated safety officers, personal records, and health reports of personnel.

Construction projects will be allowed to resume operations after a 14-day quarantine period and passing city assessments.
