PVL honors MVP Brooke Van Sickle, Rookie Thea Gagate, Team of the Year Creamline

The Pilipinas Live Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Press Corps Awards Night honored several players and teams on Wednesday at the Novotel Manila in Cubao, Quezon City.

Brooke Van Sickle of Petro Gazz was named MVP for her outstanding performance, while Alas Pilipinas' Thea Gagate received Rookie of the Year for her contributions to ZUS Coffee. Despite being in Hawaii, Van Sickle celebrated remotely and expressed heartfelt gratitude through messages.

Creamline Cool Smashers were voted Team of the Year, with their coach Sherwin Meneses earning Coach of the Year honors.

Rebisco Vice Chairman and CEO Jonathan Ng was recognized as Executive of the Year, while Choco Mucho's Deanna Wong received Fan Favorite award for her popularity among fans.

Special awards also went to Eli Soyud (Most Improved Player), Alyssa Eroa (Comeback Player of the Year), and Chie Saet (Ms. Quality Minutes).

Choco Mucho star Sisi Rondina was named Star of the Night, while PLDT's Majoy Baron won Best Middle Blocker, Cignal's Gel Cayuna received Best Setter, Farm Fresh rising star Trisha Tubu won Best Opposite Spiker, and Alyssa Eroa was both Best Libero and Comeback Player of the Year.

League president Ricky Palou praised all awardees and participants for elevating the game and inspiring a nation since the league's debut.
