Palace yet to set date for returning Sinopharm doses

The Palace has not set a date for returning 1,000 donated Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine doses to China as President Rodrigo Duterte orders.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque stated that logistical arrangements need to be finalized before the return can occur.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the Presidential Security Group (PSG) is responsible for facilitating the return of the vaccines, as they were donated directly to them.

Vergeire added that Duterte's order mandates the return of the Sinopharm doses, despite the vaccine potentially receiving an emergency use authorization from the FDA soon.
