Senators criticize Duterte's warning on PSG attendance in Congress hearing

Several senators criticized President Duterte's warning to Congress not to force the Presidential Security Group (PSG) to attend a legislative inquiry on COVID-19 vaccines.

Senator Panfilo Lacson emphasized that the Palace should respect Congress' authority to call for hearings and invite resource persons.

On Monday, Malacañang urged the Senate to respect the separation of powers between the executive and legislative branches, criticizing the proposal to summon PSG commander Brigadier General Jesus Durante III to explain the inoculation of PSG troops with an unregistered COVID-19 vaccine.
