PRO-5 seizes PHP17.2M worth of shabu, arrests 120 drug suspects

The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) seized PHP17.2 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 120 suspects involved in drug-related activities from January 27 to February 2.

During the operations, PRO-5 confiscated 2.53 kilograms of shabu and 52.60 grams of marijuana across various Bicol provinces with Albay recording the highest value at PHP6.15 million.

Among those arrested were 20 high-value targets while 100 were street-level drug personalities, highlighting a significant impact on illegal drug trade in the region.

PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon emphasized that these operations have strengthened community safety but stressed ongoing efforts are necessary to ensure sustained results.

Dizon called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity related to illegal drugs to support law enforcement's anti-drug initiatives.
