PRO-13 deploys 1,682 for Caraga tourist security

The Police Regional Office-Caraga (PRO-13) has developed a security plan for tourists visiting the region during summer vacation, with support from various security sectors.

At least 1,682 personnel will be deployed across strategic points in Caraga, including transport terminals and tourist sites, while 77 assistance desks will provide support to commuters and tourists.

PRO-13 will implement mandatory security checks and is coordinating with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard, and local government units for unified efforts.

Director Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano emphasized preventing crime in communities and key places during peak tourist seasons, including Holy Week from April 13 to 19.

The public is urged to cooperate with safety measures and report any suspicious activities to authorities.
