PRO-10 deploys 1,266 personnel for summer security

The Police Regional Office-10 (PRO-10) launched its annual Summer Vacation security operations on Monday, deploying 1,266 personnel across Northern Mindanao from April 1 to May 31.

A contingent of 357 officers will secure churches and pilgrimage sites during the Holy Week observance from April 16 to 20, while another 215 will manage traffic flow on major thoroughfares.

An additional 176 personnel will monitor transportation hubs, 192 officers will patrol commercial districts, and 326 mobile units will cover tourist destinations for rapid response.

PRO-10 Director Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman said the operation integrates fixed checkpoints, mobile patrols, and close coordination with local government units and military counterparts to create a comprehensive security web over critical convergence points.

Special tourist assistance desks will be established in all coastal municipalities by April 10 to prepare for the surge in travelers, prioritizing 18 high-traffic locations including Camiguin's White Island, Bukidnon's Dahilayan Adventure Park, and Iligan's Maria Cristina Falls.
