PRC deploys 2,260 staff for election support

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) deployed over 2,000 staff and volunteers nationwide to support peace and order during the midterm elections from May 9 to 12.

A total of 2,260 PRC personnel will be activated along with 28 emergency vehicles, 103 foot patrol units, and 51 mobile units to assist at first aid stations and welfare desks in strategic locations such as schools, malls, and airports.

PRC Secretary-General Dr. Gwen Pang emphasized that all humanitarian assets, including blood services and emergency response units, are available for assistance during the elections.

The organization's services extend beyond election-related incidents; they also provide general medical support and can arrange airlifts to hospitals if needed.

In partnership with key government agencies such as COMELEC, DILG, and DOH, PRC aims to safeguard voter welfare throughout the electoral period, urging the public to dial 143 in case of any concerns.
