Palace: PH gaining ground in COVID-19 fight

Malacañang says the Philippines is making significant progress in combating the coronavirus.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque noted that the doubling rate of cases has slowed to 10 days and less than 10 people are dying daily from the disease.

Roque attributed the ongoing challenges, particularly in Metro Manila and Cebu City, to population density, making social distancing difficult.

He emphasized that social distancing and wearing face masks remain crucial measures due to the lack of a cure or vaccine.
