Police seize over P2.7M shabu in Lucena, Batangas, Quezon

Police seized over P1.1 million worth of shabu from a drug trafficker during a buy-bust operation in Lucena City on Friday, while another P1.6 million worth was confiscated from five suspected traffickers in Batangas and Quezon provinces on Sunday.

The suspect 'Ali' aged 27, was arrested in Barangay Isabang after selling P3,000 worth of shabu to an undercover agent around 4:15 p.m. in Lucena City.

In Taal, Batangas, police arrested aliases 'Romeo' and 'Dalia' at 3:17 p.m., who were found with a plastic containing 200 grams of meth worth over P1.36 million.

Meanwhile, in Gumaca town, Quezon, three suspects—Allan, Jayzon, and Geruel—were arrested in Barangay Villa Bota around the same time, with seven sachets of shabu weighing 42.4 grams worth P288,592 seized from them.

The operations highlight ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region, with suspects facing formal complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
