Police captain files cyber libel vs MMDA official over viral video

Police Captain Erik Felipe filed a cyber libel case against MMDA Special Operations Group - Strike Force head Gabriel Go following a viral video of their encounter during a clearing operation in Quezon City.

Go had berated Felipe, which led to the vlogger receiving similar charges as well.

Felipe spent about two hours at the QC prosecutor's office with other police officials.

Despite accepting Go's apology, Felipe decided to pursue the case due to the severe stress he experienced when the video went viral on social media.

The officer emphasized that the edited and spliced videos posted online damaged his personal well-being.

Go expressed readiness to face any charges filed against him.

Last week, Go had issued a ticket to Felipe for motorcycles parked illegally in front of a police station in Quezon City.
