MMDA summons SOG-Strike Force head for berating police officer

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) summoned Special Operations Group - Strike Force head Gabriel Go for berating a police officer ticketed for parking on the sidewalk.

MMDA chairman Romando Artes acknowledged the incident, which was reportedly posted online, and assured that it will be addressed with full accountability.

Artes reminded MMDA employees to treat everyone with respect and courtesy, emphasizing the importance of adhering to policies and protocols even in challenging situations.

The MMDA chair issued a show cause order to Go and called for an apology to Police Captain Erik Felipe, who was berated by Go.

Artes reached out to police officials from the Philippine National Police, the National Police Commission, and the Quezon City Police District regarding the issue.

Despite acknowledging human error, Artes assured that if Go committed a mistake, he will be penalized as justified.
