PNVF maintains Alas Pilipinas squad for future tournaments

The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) plans to maintain the current Alas Pilipinas squad, including pool members who did not participate in the AVC Challenge Cup and adding collegiate players like Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, and Casiey Dongallo, for future international tournaments.

Led by Jia de Guzman and Angel Canino, with contributions from these new additions, the team will continue to build on its historic bronze medal win at the AVC Challenge Cup last Wednesday.

PNVF president Ramon 'Tats' Suzara emphasized the importance of keeping this roster intact for upcoming competitions such as the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand next year.

The federation confirmed its intention to retain head coach Jorge Souza De Brito beyond his current FIVB contract expiration on June 30, aiming to strengthen and make the team more competitive.

Alas Pilipinas will participate in an exhibition match against South Korea's national volleyball team on June 7, followed by the FIVB Challenger Cup from July 4 to 7, and the SEA V League later in the summer.
