PNP reports 31 more COVID-19 cases; total at 9,840

As of Sunday, January 24, the number of COVID-19 cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) increased to 9,840 after 31 more personnel contracted the virus.

Recoveries rose to 9,293 with an additional 24 personnel recovering from the illness, while the death toll remained at 28.

The PNP reported a total of 519 active cases undergoing treatment or quarantine.

Separately, based on data from the PNP Administrative Support for COVID-19 Task Force as of Saturday night, recoveries in the police force increased by 25 to 9,269, representing about 94.49 percent of a total of 9,809 cases since March last year.

The task force also reported that there are currently 512 active cases with 13 patients recuperating in hospitals and 499 in quarantine facilities.
