Socsksargen logs 33 new recoveries; E. Visayas reports 11,948 total recoveries

As of Monday, Soccsksargen logged 33 new recoveries from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the region's recovery rate to 86 percent.

Sarangani reported the highest number of new recoveries with 15 cases, followed by South Cotabato with nine and General Santos City with six.

The same day saw an increase in active cases with Sarangani recording six new infections, North Cotabato five, General Santos City three, South Cotabato two, and Sultan Kudarat one.

In Eastern Visayas, a total of 11,948 patients have recovered from Covid-19 as of Monday, representing 92.40 percent of the region's recorded cases since March last year.

Leyte had the highest number of recoveries in E. Visayas with 3,518 cases, followed by Samar with 3,309 and Tacloban City with 1,477.

The high recovery rate is attributed to a significant proportion of asymptomatic or mild cases managed through local community isolation units.
