PNP reports another COVID-19 death, total cases rise

As of Friday, October 1, 2021, another PNP personnel died from COVID-19, raising the total number of deaths in the organization to 118.

The PNP reported a total of 39,967 cases with 134 new infections on that day.

Recoveries reached 37,826 while active cases stood at 2,023.

On Thursday, September 30, the PNP recorded an additional 151 positive cases, bringing the total to 39,843 with recoveries at 37,641 and active cases at 2,085.

The death toll remained unchanged from the previous day at 117.

The latest fatality was a police officer in MIMAROPA who died of medical complications related to COVID-19 on September 22.
