PNP logs 40,345 COVID cases, 1,840 active, 119 deaths

As of Wednesday, October 6, 2021, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has recorded 40,345 COVID-19 cases among its personnel with 1,840 active cases and 119 deaths.

The PNP also reported 1,786 reinfection cases since the start of the pandemic, resulting in three severe cases and one death.

On Sunday, October 3, the PNP recorded an additional 128 new infections, bringing total recoveries to 38,086.

Two recent fatalities were a patrolman from Bicol who died on September 23 due to critical pneumonia caused by COVID-19 and a police chief master sergeant in Mimaropa with chronic kidney disease.
