PNP: Parents liable for kids violating COVID-19 rules

Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar warned parents on Friday that they could face legal consequences if their children violate COVID-19 restrictions in Metro Manila.

Eleazar reminded that despite the lowering of alert level to 3, children are still prohibited from going outdoors unless it is for essential purposes like medical treatment.

The PNP chief emphasized that parents can be held responsible if their children are seen on streets or leisure areas without proper reason.

Reports emerged that some children were already spotted in public places such as parks after the shift to Alert Level 3 on October 16, with some not wearing masks properly.
