PNP: NCR granular lockdown areas rise to 83

As of Sunday, October 17, 2021, the number of areas in NCR under granular lockdown increased from 82 to 83.

These areas are spread across 53 barangays and include 38 houses, 20 residential buildings, 13 subdivisions or villages, six streets, and six residential building floors.

The PNP has deployed 238 personnel and 220 force multipliers to ensure security and adherence to health standards.

On October 15, the number of granular lockdown areas in NCR dropped from 117 to 100, covering 65 barangays with 48 houses, 25 residential buildings, 16 subdivisions or villages, seven streets, and four building floors.

Local government units decide on imposing and lifting these granular lockdowns based on the presence of one COVID-19 case.
