PH recovery tally climbs to 2.4M

As of Friday, October 8, the Philippines reported 7,691 new recoveries from COVID-19, raising the national recovery tally to 2,486,059 cases or 94 percent of all infections since March 2020.

The Department of Health also recorded 10,670 new confirmed cases and 191 additional deaths, bringing active cases to 118,203 and the total death toll to 39,232.

Active cases are predominantly mild (77.7%), with smaller percentages being asymptomatic, moderate, severe, or critical.
