PNP: Granular lockdown areas rise to 605

The number of areas under granular lockdown due to COVID-19 increased from 590 on February 5th to 605 on February 7th.

As of Sunday, the majority of these areas were in Cordillera (384) and Ilocos (130), with others scattered across Cagayan, Mimaropa, and NCR.

A total of 1,233 people are affected by the restrictions, and the PNP has deployed personnel and force multipliers to enforce minimum health standards.

Local government units decide whether to impose or lift granular lockdowns based on infection numbers; these micro-level quarantines target critical zones within LGUs.
