PNP on full alert; over 200 CALABARZON cops affected by Taal

Over 200 policemen in CALABARZON were affected by the Taal Volcano eruption on January 12, 2020.

The PNP officer-in-charge instructed these affected officers to prioritize their families' safety and not report for duty until their situation stabilizes.

PNP headquarters is prepared to deploy additional personnel if needed in CALABARZON.

On January 13, the PNP declared full alert status for Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Central Luzon, canceling vacation leaves and preparing officers for disaster relief operations.

The PNP also ordered the dispatch of trucks for evacuations and augmented security at Clark Airport due to flight diversions from Taal's eruption.
