PNP COVID-19 death toll hits 114

As of Wednesday, the death toll among Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel due to COVID-19 has reached 114.

The latest fatality is a 34-year-old police corporal from Western Visayas who had been suffering from cancer since last year and tested positive for COVID-19 on September 13.

Due to lack of quarantine facilities, the cop was placed under home quarantine but succumbed to the disease on September 19.

The PNP reported 152 new cases, bringing total infections to 38,618 with 36,260 recoveries and 2,244 active cases.
