PMA backs vaccinating kids aged 5-11 against COVID

The Philippine Medical Association (PMA) supports vaccinating children aged 5 to 11 against COVID-19, citing risks such as Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children.

The PMA also noted that the pandemic has negatively impacted children's mental health and learning.

Pediatricians from the Philippine Pediatric Society (PPS) and the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines (PIDSP) reiterated their support for the DOH and NTF’s vaccination program, scheduled to start in Metro Manila on February 7 with a nationwide rollout planned for February 14.
