PHP204M worth of shabu found in abandoned suitcase in Naic

Early Friday morning, June 20, authorities recovered approximately PHP204 million worth of suspected shabu inside an abandoned suitcase in Naic, Cavite.

A security guard alerted police officers patrolling Friendship Road about the green suitcase containing drugs around 2:10 AM.

Upon inspection, officers found 30 heat-sealed packs of suspected shabu and a surveillance camera near the suitcase.

Investigators concluded that this was a 'dead drop' operation used in illegal drug transactions to avoid physical apprehension.

The police chief stated that the modus operandi is designed to ensure anonymity and prevent direct contact between pushers and buyers.

Authorities are conducting backtracking operations, including reviewing CCTV footage from roads leading into and out of the area, to identify potential suspects involved in the operation.
