PHL reaches 63% full vax rate, testing doubles

As of Wednesday, December 29, the Philippines' vaccination rate reached 63% with 48.6 million individuals fully vaccinated.

The government's initial target was to vaccinate at least 70% of its population but this goal has been revised due to the inclusion of younger age groups.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei B. Nograles noted that daily COVID-19 testing has doubled to an average of 80,000 tests per day in 2021 compared to 40,000 in 2020.

In Bataan, about 77.27% of the population is fully vaccinated, corresponding to 554,033 individuals out of a total eligible population.

Pangasinan has reached a vaccination rate of 58%, with 1.3 million individuals fully vaccinated and 78% having received at least one dose.
