Philippines' regions now minimal risk for COVID-19

The National Capital Region (NCR) and all other regions in the Philippines are now classified as 'minimal risk' for COVID-19.

From December 8 to 14, the country logged an average of 380 cases per day, a 26% decrease from the previous week's average of 516 cases.

OCTA Research reported that NCR has a very low risk classification with only 91 new cases daily from December 6 to 12, a reproduction rate of 0.39, and a positivity rate of 0.9%.

Among the 13 LGUs in NCR classified as 'very low risk', Pateros recorded no new infections and a healthcare utilization rate (HCUR) of 20%.
