Philippines gets 100K Sinopharm doses from UAE

The Philippines received 100,000 doses of Sinopharm/Hayat-Vax COVID-19 vaccine from the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday.

The shipment arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport and was immediately approved for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

NTF Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor stated that these vaccines will be distributed to areas experiencing a surge in cases, particularly Metro Manila and other provinces.

Hayat-Vax is identical to Sinopharm but manufactured in the UAE and approved for individuals aged 18 and above.
