Philippines low risk for COVID-19; NCR, CAR moderate

The Philippines remains under low risk for COVID-19 with an ADAR of 3.13 cases per 100,000 population.

However, the National Capital Region (NCR) and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) are classified as moderate risk due to their ADAR exceeding five cases per 100,000 population.

As of Friday, NCR has an ADAR of 8.67 while CAR is at 6.10.

DOH Officer-in-Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire noted a recent increase in daily cases to an average of 3,710 per day, which is 16% higher than the previous week and similar to case levels from February.
