Philippines logs lowest daily COVID cases since June 2020

The Philippines logged its lowest daily coronavirus infections since June 2020 with 425 cases reported on Tuesday, bringing the total to 2.83 million.

As of Tuesday, the death toll reached 48,545 after 44 more patients died, while recoveries increased by 909 to 2.77 million.

The number of active cases was at 15,800 with distribution as follows: 47.5% mild, 5.3% asymptomatic, 16% severe, 24.42% moderate and 6.8% critical.

On Sunday, the DoH reported the lowest number of active cases since June 7 last year at 16,630, with a daily tally of 838 new cases being the lowest since December 28.

This brought the total infections to 2.83 million and increased the death toll to 48,361 after 156 more patients died, while recoveries rose by 1,217 to 2.77 million.
