DOH hopeful to hit 9M vaccine target in three-day drive

The Philippines has administered over 5 million doses of coronavirus vaccines since the start of the 'Bayanihan, Bakunahan' vaccination drive on Monday.

DOH Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje remains optimistic that the government will reach its target of 9 million doses during the three-day national vaccination drive, though she noted that the current day's numbers are lower than previous days but not final.

On the first day of the drive, over 2.5 million doses were administered, which is more than double the country's average weekly rate and one of the highest single-day records globally.
