Philippines logs 3,821 new COVID-19 cases

As of Thursday, September 10, the Philippines has recorded a total of 248,947 COVID-19 cases with 3,821 new infections reported.

Metro Manila continues to have the highest number of new cases at 2,079, followed by Rizal and Cavite.

The DOH reports that 86% of the newly confirmed cases were infected within the past two weeks.

Total recoveries increased to 186,058 with an additional 563 patients recovering from the disease, while the death toll rose to 4,066 with 80 new fatalities.

Active cases now stand at 58,823, with 88.3% being mild, 8.8% asymptomatic, 1.2% severe, and 1.7% in critical condition.
