DOH: Enforce stricter measures in Butuan, Bislig due to local transmissions

The Department of Health (DOH) in Caraga Region is calling for stricter health measures in Butuan City and Bislig City due to rising local transmission cases.

As of Wednesday, Sept. 16, Butuan has 461 total cases with 294 local transmissions, while Bislig has 41 cases with 16 local transmissions.

DOH-13 chief Jose Llacuna emphasized the need for stringent containment strategies to halt further spread in these areas.

On Monday, Sept. 14, DOH reported 57 new cases in Caraga, bringing the region's total to 840 cases with 477 recoveries and 22 deaths.
