Philippines FDA approves Pfizer EUA for 5-11 year-olds

The Philippine FDA has approved emergency use authorization (EUA) for Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11.

Dr. Eric Domingo, FDA director general, stated that the benefits of vaccinating this age group outweigh potential risks and the vaccine showed high efficacy rates above 90% with mild side effects.

The actual doses are expected to arrive in January as the government procures them through the Asian Development Bank.
