EU provides PHP132M for WHO's PH COVID response

The European Union (EU) has provided PHP132.62 million to support the World Health Organization's (WHO) Covid-19 response in the Philippines, with vaccine rollout as one focal area.

This aid is part of a 20-million-euro contract signed by the EU and WHO in December 2020 to support Asean countries' Covid-19 efforts.

The EU delegation also clarified that the Philippines is exempt from the EU's export ban on Covid-19 vaccines, ensuring continued vaccine supply through the COVAX facility.
