Philippines' COVID-19 cases exceed 527K

The Philippines' COVID-19 caseload surpassed 527,000 on February 1 after reporting 1,658 new cases.

Recoveries increased to 487,574 with 27 more patients recovering from the virus.

The death toll rose to 10,807 with 58 additional fatalities reported.

As of February 28, the Philippines recorded over 2,000 new cases for four consecutive days, bringing the total to 576,352.

Five more health workers died from COVID-19 between January 24 and 30, raising the death toll among medical personnel to 83.

The DOH reported 11,653 new recoveries on January 31, pushing the total recovered cases to 487,551 or 92.8% of confirmed cases.
