Philippines bans travelers from 8 countries Dec 16-31

The Philippines has placed eight countries and territories on its 'red' list from December 16 to 31 due to high risk of COVID-19 infection.

These countries include Andorra, France, Monaco, Northern Mariana Islands, Reunion, San Marino, South Africa, and Switzerland.

Travelers from these destinations are barred from entering the Philippines regardless of vaccination status if they have been in any red-listed area within 14 days prior to arrival.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) also placed all areas with local transmission of the Omicron variant on the yellow list for the rest of December.
