Philippine curling team beats Hong Kong 7-2

The Philippine women's curling team secured a strong start with a decisive victory over Hong Kong, 7-2, on Sunday at the Harbin Pingfang Curling Arena.

Kathleen Dubberstein led the team to their win and expressed optimism for future matches after narrowly missing out on a bronze medal in mixed doubles the previous day.

Leilani Sumbillo and Sheila Mariano held Hong Kong scoreless in the first four ends, while Anne Bonache and Jennifer de la Fuente contributed points that sealed the victory early on.

Peter Groseclose missed advancing to the quarterfinals of men's 1000-meter short-track speed skating after finishing third in his heat with a time of 1:28.00.
