Philippines' COVID-19 cases hit 467,601

As of Friday, December 25, the Philippines' total COVID-19 cases reached 467,601 with 1,885 new infections reported by DOH.

Quezon City recorded the highest number of new cases at 130, followed by Bulacan and Davao City.

Total recoveries increased to 430,791 after 307 more patients recovered, while the death toll rose to 9,062 with seven new fatalities.

The DOH also noted that seven duplicates were removed from the total case count.

Experts predict a surge in infections during the first two weeks of January due to the virus's incubation period.
